    My brothers stupid game has crickets in it now I am hearing crickets!!!!! Plus I am as my mom put it looked exhausted :-(

    It's A very sh*tty condition and the most horrible thing happend in my life, and I saw alot. Just like you i'm suffering and being affraid of the future. And i'm just 27, since my 24 A very loud high pitched **** sound in the middle of my head. The only thing we can do is hoping someday they will find treatment. Keep your head up and keep having hope, your'e not alone.

    Yes you can - take a shower, feel the water hit your head and ears and remember that it's going to get better. Just have to ride the storm for a little while longer.

    Things have gotten.a lot better since I got my job. My tinnitus really only bugs me.at night.now.thanks.

    If your body is used to going to the gym and you havent gone in 5 days can your tinnitus create a new noise? I am at my breaking point.

    I disagree, a lot of people have found working out to help.

    I think blood flow and pressure can affect T.
    If mucus and headcolds can, why not this?

    It also might be that your mind isn't as busy as it would be since you're not working out.

    I honestly cannot describe the sound at all but it is annoying the SHIT out of me and pissing me off.

    Weird noise in my ear for the past few days does tinnitus only have to be ringing, whooshing, and buzzing or can it be more noises?

    After a while you get bored with all the sounds and you start to ignore them. Time will do a lot :). I don't need to mask them. Of course they are annoying but I am not fearful. Try to keep yourself busy :)

    well the things is if I were having to describe the sound that it would be you know how people use the rim of the wine glass to make music something like that. And it like explodes at night it is so FUCKING frustrating!!

    I hate when my ears go into high pitch mode. Ugh. I use my cell phone on speaker. I try to stay away from any loud noises. Sometimes when my ears go into high pitch mode, it lasts for hours... like 4 or so ... then my ears go back to low pitch. Keep your stress down. Stress increases ringing to high pitch.

    Can your tinnitus spike go away for a night then come back again? Well I am not sure if it is but my tinnitus is louder than usual tonight.

    well I have another tinnitus spike I think. If I am not around loud noise until tomorrow will the tinnitus spike go down in volume some?

    I have mucus in the back of my throat and was wondering could that cause a buzzing sound in your ear? it's only in my right ear.

    Not sure if it can be the cause, but speaking from personal experience, excessive mucous exacerbates T and H for me.

    What does the h stand for? And it aggravates your tinnitus too?

    H is hyperacusis. My T is more or less stable but my H is very unpredictable.

    What caused it?
    Go lay down and put on your favourite movie and zone into it.
    Keep telling yourself that it will calm down given enough time,that some nerve in your ear is all excited and just needs to burn itself out in time.

    I honestly don`t know what caused the spike it happened out of nowhere. I was sitting on the couch and it hit me thank you I just told myself the the spike will calm down that is GREAT advice!

    when your tinnitus gets louder is that called a tinnitus spike? If so any advie on how to lower the volume to make it tolerable?

    Hi.. Unfortunately it is very subjective for each individual... you need a lot of patience with T and a strategy to deal with it... If you write a thread on the support section you would be able to get more support as not many people read the profile's updates... Best of luck !!
