  • For the last few months my ears have been making strange ringing-pulsating sounds which has me worried. Anyone know why?
Sometimes I wish they prescribed such things as morphine for tinnitus,as mine's driving me insane. Anything to get at least some respite.

After reading about instances where lidocaine has been used to reduce T, I bought lidocaine patches that I planned to stick to the skin around my ears. Then I discovered that lidocaine is listed on ototoxic medication lists.

Yeah lidocaine does seem to work but is not safe from what I read. I had a couple hours of quiet with cervical/lumbar injections that had lidocaine in them. Prednisone works at times too but is inconsistent.

Drugs that are being investigated for their ability to alleviate T also being ototoxic drugs that, in a small number of instances, Cause T (or cause permanent T spikes), is a common theme... For example, it is also the case for Amitriptyline.
Could someone take me out of this Black Hole? Cicadas seem to have moved into my ears again..
Could someone convince the cicadas that have moved into my ears to take a break and go annoy someone else?
