  • Hi, how are you doing now? Any progress with your tinnitus? I think we both have T from otitis media.

Hello, sorry for the late reply. But I have been doing well, it is still there, but I did not experience any spikes for a few months now. Does not bother me as much anymore since I am occupied with school work and doing other activities.
Took Ibuprofen since I am sick, did not spike my tinnitus, thank the lord

Should be relatively safe unless you either take an insane amount or use for an extended period of time. Even then it seems it's usually temporary.
I can confirm that drugs are the culprit for my tinnitus. I realized if I take specific drugs, it worsens it. So I will try to avoid it.

My T always gets a bit crazier when I take ibuprofen

@Charburchar even though my T was caused by medication, other meds (including ibuprofen) have absolutely no effect on my T. It's so different for everyone, and that's what makes this condition hard to navigate.
I realized that I am getting small temporary spikes more often now. probably because my hair cells are messed up? lol
This week was a very stressful week. I thought my tinnitus has gotten louder, but it is just my PC fans spinning lol. I am getting all crazy
I can confirm that the MRI did not cause a spike for me. I guess I am lucky. And the loud trains have no impact on my tinnitus.
Oh wait….my tinnitus just dropped. And I do not hear the morse code sound… such a strange body I have but yayyyy
Back to square one now to habituation. I hate myself for this. Getting frustrated over a drug.
This stupid morse code noise is really annoying and disturbing. Luckily I get tired and sleep easily, so I suppose it is not bad.
