  • Does anyone else get noises "stuck" in your ears? Like you hear a sound and then you kinda hear it in other sounds like a fan?
I really love your profile photo. I was a passholder for over a decade and spent nearly every weekend at Disneyland. It really hits hard that I may never be able to enjoy the parks again.

Thank you! I'm sad they rethemed the tower to Guardians. Honestly a terrible move in my own opinion.

Also not only that, but it just fit right in. Now it's like an eyesore

I was thinking about these Parks. I don't remember them being overwhelmingly loud but this was before I was so cautious about noise.
T tone keeps fluctuating, idk why but its making me on edge.

Hello. Ive read a lot of posts where a changing tone meant healing. I have steady tones (plus reactive ones) that are the worst. If it would just fluctuate..Id have hope it can go down or away. But its just loud and steady 24/7.

Well, if it means I'm healing, then I guess it's not a bad sign
Random but I have this appreciation towards the tower of terror, especially the sounds that play while dropping, gives me adrenaline

    Pre-tinnitus. Loved this (...a bit too much). : )

I remember when the sound files surfaced online last year, was so happy when they did

Would have usually looked into that before sudden hearing-loss :( Still could go get dropped tho! Maybe silences T?!
Sometimes When someone talks I hear their regular voice and the same one but it's like a semitone lower, this is really concerning me.

Sounds like diplacusis, I had it for a short while after treatment for my AN. Auditory nerve inflammation could be a cause.

Remember having this to a more greater extent during a pretty bad ear infection in December of last year, hopefully this settles down soon
I honestly feel sometimes like I'll never be normal again.

We all go through it. You're still early on. It's 6 months for me this week and feel I've found a reasonably stable place where I basically live the life I had before and feel ok.

Yup. Everyone who has commented is right. We all go through the blame stage. But, I want you to know that you are not to blame, because how could you of ever predicted that this was going to happen!.. you couldn't have. So therefore you are not to blame. <3

I'm prone to falling into the hole of despair for a bit, but even in those moments I have to remind myself that there is hope, and that one day a cure will be found and provide relief to all of those who suffer from this condition
I feel like I have MES. It's linked to sound deprivation, but my hearing tests came out normal could be because of conductive reasons
Right ear has been acting up today. Buzzing sound has been going off like crazy and has really impacted my mental state.

Seems to have calmed down, was probably because of my heightened anxiety.
Can ttts cause a buzzing sound/tickling sensation in response to certain sounds?
    Rockman
Yes I get it from plastic bags are the worst

I only notice it happens when like someone next to me talks loudly, my right ear only does this so I suspect it's my "worse" one
I still don't know what caused all of this, I wasn't exposed to any overly loud sound, just woke up one day and all of this happened

Brain chemistry? I would try and get some test tan to figure it out. Tinnitus is a symptom of something
