    Coping with Noise-Induced Tinnitus

As for falling asleep, this actually got easier for me after I got T. Which sounds ridiculous but it's true, after a couple of weeks I found a way to do it. Nowadays I've got a new sound which at times makes it a little difficult to fall asleep, and for the first time I'm actually considering...

Temporary Reduction/Elimination of Tinnitus When Sick?

Sorry to hear that! My tinnitus "sound 3" (my newest, fridge-like sound) actually spiked a little for a couple of days after the fever went down. Feels better today though.

Temporary Reduction/Elimination of Tinnitus When Sick?

It should be. Something causes our T to go down and understanding the mechanism behind it could be a piece in the puzzle to cure tinnitus some day. Must be a better approach than trial-based research that's either hit or miss (mostly miss).

I'm 15 and I Feel Like My Life Is Over

Time is your friend. And so is the shower, it masks my T as well. I also enjoy being outdoors, I'm rarely ever bothered by it then :)

I'm 15 and I Feel Like My Life Is Over

Sorry to hear you're having a hard time, @griffin2001 . The first couple of months are usually the worst, it will definitely get better! How would you describe your tinnitus in terms of frequenzy, volume and location? Any other symptoms? Back in January I developed a tinnitus sound that I...

Temporary Reduction/Elimination of Tinnitus When Sick?

@linearb, it's very interesting indeed, and all those theories are definitely reasonable. I wonder if it could be something worth looking into. At least two people with tinnitus are experiencing a improvement when having a fever... maybe they won't find a cure but at least valuable information...

Temporary Reduction/Elimination of Tinnitus When Sick?

Hi Johnny :) You might be right, I've also thought of that. However, I was now actively listening for it and could barely hear anything. At least the sounds in my right ear. I could still hear my "sound 2" (high pitched sound in my head) but it was relatively mild. Something was different. It...

Thank you, @billie48! If my post could help anyone it would be great! As mentioned it has helped me coming here to read on bad days :)

Temporary Reduction/Elimination of Tinnitus When Sick?

Hi! I recently had a pretty bad cold with fever and a painful throat. Had some pressure in my ears as well. And the funny thing is that my tinnitus felt much better! It changed a little and reduced in volume. I couldn't hear the usual sounds in my right ear at all. There was some sort of...

Tinnitus for Almost 9 Months Now

Hey! 23 years old, male and doing quite well. I live my life normally, almost as if nothing has happened (my relationship to music, or sound in general, has changed a little though). I've been here for a while but never posted anything, I usually stay away from forums like these :p Unless on...

Thanks! It's a song by my fav band In Flames. Figured that a way to get rid of T is to become the sky. Not like going to heaven but rather to take control of the world/mind. Even if I can't make the T fade completely, it's harmless anyway. The problem is how it makes me feel at times, and I can...
