This is very sad as I do want to give you hope for a treatment, but with the 2 coinciding opinions I cannot say which to take. My only advice is to get a 3rd opinion.

Yep and I'm not sure what actually causes this but I pop my ears literally hundreds of times a day now... Going to an ENT to have my ears cleaned; maybe the buildup of wax is making my symptoms worse.

Yes i have had severe tinnitus for about 2 years after using saws without hearing protection. Sometimes i will have that same thing happen 2 or 3 times a week. Its very scary and makes me nervous that it can get that worse permanently... Infact i just got a spike as im typing this... Want to cry
