Hough Ear Institute's Hair Cell Regeneration Project

@Justin De Moss thank you for fighting our side. I'm convinced before I die that I will hear silence or quieter days again. I'm 62, but after 38 years of this I was starting to give up hope. It's just so reassuring that research is being done. There's an awful lot of us with t and more getting...

Hough Ear Institute's Hair Cell Regeneration Project

Hi @Justin De Moss My t started with an ear infection, but it is getting worse now due to hearing loss. Is there any information you can give me about the injection? I thought the pill was for age related hearing loss as well. It’s all very confusing, is there a link I can go to for more...

Hough Ear Institute's Hair Cell Regeneration Project

I’m not sure about all the facts, but I’m really hoping it will. If they need any volunteers for testing my hand is up and staying up After 38 years of gradually worsening t and hearing loss I think I’d sell my house to pay for the medication!

@HootOwl Thank you for taking the time to reply. I guess it's a waiting game, hopefully not too much longer. Had this since I was 23 and I'm now 61, would really like to hear silence or a quieter tinnitus. Fingers crossed for all of us.

Thank you, still quite complicated tho or I'm having a blonde moment. Let's hope they get the funding after 38 years I could do with a break!

Hough Ear Institute's Hair Cell Regeneration Project

Hi, I'm really confused. Is there a simple way of explaining this? Will it be able to help people like me who have had t for a long time, in my case 38 years? Originally started from ear infection, but worse now due to hearing loss. Thanks for any info you can give me.

Ear Feels Like It's Full of Something, Tinnitus Gets Louder When I Shake My Head or Walk

Hi I've had tinnitus for 38 years. Manage well mostly, but at the moment my left ear feels like it's full of something. If I shake my head the tinnitus gets louder as it also does when I'm walking. Sometimes it seems to fill up and the tinnitus goes super loud and then it feels like its...

Oh no hope this isn't true. Can anybody clarify the current position? Surely there must be funding out there? So many of us are literally suffering on a daily basis, with more joining us every day. Feeling very disappointed and at a complete loss. Having a bad tinnitus day today.

Hough Ear Institute's Hair Cell Regeneration Project

I've had tinnitus for 38 years following an ear infection. Now I think my tinnitus has worsened due to hearing loss in both ears it's audible all the time, the only respite I get is sleep. My question is "Will the Hough Ear Institute be able to help me?" I would love to think that in the...

Hough Ear Institute's Hair Cell Regeneration Project

@JohnAdams Hope it's going to happen soon. 38 years of this and I'm not coping well at the moment. Tinnitus started with ear infection, never went, now its worse than ever. Hearing loss in both ears, it's awful. I'm 61 years old and would love for my t to get quieter. Hubby has it loud as well...

@Lucifer Hi I agree with you. The initial effects of the drug may not last for ever. I take high blood pressure tablets, it hasn't been cured by just taking one pill. The medication, if developed, might have to be taken for the rest of our lives. Surely that will be profitable?

I'm Reliant on Hearing Aids — Will I Habituate to Tinnitus Again?

Hi I first got tinnitus in 1983 following a severe ear infection. The noise at that time was unbelievable. I’d just got married and had to move back in with my parents as everyone was really worried about my state of mind. Gradually over a period of 6 months I guess I habituated to the point of...
