@jjflyman, thanks for the update! It's great to hear that you're doing well. I am starting to habituate. There are times where I forget about it, and when I hear it again, I don't really care. I also believe that I have TMJ issues, and hope that I'll see improvement after I address them. I hope...

    Update Post! Very Positive

Hey @GH123, thanks a lot for posting your story. I think the stories where people go back to normal lives even though they don't recover completely are just as, if not more, important than the success stories where it goes away completely. I'm more than ten months in now, and at some point I...

@jimH, you've had T for more than 30 years? Wow. Now ten months seems like nothing in comparison.

Ten months today. I'm happy that most of the people who were new when I joined the forum have moved on. A little sad that I haven't.

Yes. I've had this since about three weeks after this whole thing started. You may want to ask the dentist to check for TMJ symptoms. Also check for sinus issues. How long have you had the symptoms? It seems that it goes away eventually for almost everyone.

Can ETD (Eustachian Tube Dysfunction) Last for a Long Time?

It was never an issue for me before the acoustic trauma. It didn't even start immediately, but rather about three weeks after the initial event. Sometimes I wonder if it's caused by the stress/anxiety brought on by those first few weeks. Do you know if fullness in the ears can be caused by...

Can ETD (Eustachian Tube Dysfunction) Last for a Long Time?

Hey @Elinor, what would be an example of a cause for chronic ETD? My ears still occasionally feel full almost ten months after the initial acoustic trauma. The ENT did a tympanometry and he says everything looks fine, and that he thinks it's caused by a combination of sinus issues and TMJ...

Burning My Hand Has Shut Down My Tinnitus?

You remind me of this post: Bee Sting Eventually Stopped My Tinnitus. Your case may just be a coincidence, but I really hope it's gone for good.

    My Ears Are Popping/Crackling

Same here, for me the feeling of fullness started about three weeks after the initial noise exposure. It's more than nine months now, and I still have the feeling of fullness. In the beginning my ears would feel full all the time, but over time I learned to open my ears at will by tensing a...

    Magnesium

Take magnesium glycinate if you can. Try to avoid magnesium oxide, because let's just say it's also used as a laxative.

Hey @Melike, thanks for your reply. I hope this is the beginning of some real improvement for you. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of treatment is he suggesting?

@Melike, how were you diagnosed? I went to the dentist and he said I don't have any signs of TMJ, but I have jaw pain and clicking sounds in my jaw. Are you able to get some treatment?
