    Tinnitus Changed After 6 Months

I did not experience a foggy feeling. The biggest change I noticed was that I no longer had the "head ringing". Now a have bilateral "ear ringing".... hope that makes sense. In my case, the "ear ringing" is much more manageable.

    Crackling Crumbling Sound in Ear

@newbieT It is not always present. I hear it when I move my ear and sometimes my head. I also hear it when I swallow. However, I don't hear it when I move my jaw.

    Crackling Crumbling Sound in Ear

@newbieT I have the same symptoms but in both ears. I have mild bilateral hearing loss. ENTs cannot explain the cause of my crackling. I often wonder if I have always had these sounds but my brain was just blocking them out (like it does for heartbeats). However, with my hearing loss, maybe...

    Tinnitus Changed After 6 Months

@Jomo & @Sonic17 Thanks for the encouragement. Although there are moments when my head is closer to silence, there are other times when my T just spikes. I am not used to this configuration and I just got off ADs so it's definitely a struggle sometimes. I have 3 kids ages 10, 7, & 4. The...

    Angle of Sound

So I was on the AudioNotch website again tonight and noticed some interesting behavior being exhibited by my hearing. I know I have hearing loss from 3 kHz to 4 kHz bilaterally. I played a 3.3 kHz tone on my laptop's speakers and stood about 15 feet back. By moving my head up / down and side...

    Tinnitus Changed After 6 Months

My T is still at a low level. After 7 months, my baseline has gradually dropped. I'm hoping that today's configuration is the new baseline. I have noticed something interesting. Now that my T is lower, I notice the mild hearing loss more. I'm not used to that. I will probably schedule another...

    Tinnitus Changed After 6 Months

@Bill Bauer Thanks for the well wishes. It's midnight in Chicago. Even though I have work tomorrow, I'm staying up a bit longer to absorb this moment of "silence". I'm not sure what noises I will wake up to, but I am thankful for this moment.

    Tinnitus Changed After 6 Months

Hi all. Before I go into the details of my changing T, I want to give a brief background of myself for those who have not read my other posts. I developed bilateral T towards the end of April. I was diagnosed with mild bilateral high frequency hearing loss. It eventually settled to a multi-tone...

    Is Adaptation All We Have?

My friend, it's all about $$$$$. I do believe at the research level, there are researchers that are passionate about their work. Their driving factors include rising up to the challenge, name recognition, and those that are simply driven by helping out others. The problem is, their resources...

Self Hearing Evaluation on Audio Notch

Thanks for all of the replies. I understand that I am vastly underestimating what goes into a hearing exam. All of my words are coming from an angle of frustration. When I was sweeping through the frequencies and the tone was panning from one ear to the next, I knew something was not right...
