Q&A: Tinnitus Hub Meets Neuromod (Lenire)

Thank you. I'm glad my tinnitus went away too! It's the least I can do, to give back in some way.

Q&A: Tinnitus Hub Meets Neuromod (Lenire)

I don't mind answering questions but there's a limit to what I know. I know there were different groups where the device was set up differently but I don't know what group I was in. I do know there was no placebo. We were not supposed to know what group we were in. I think someone posted a link...

Q&A: Tinnitus Hub Meets Neuromod (Lenire)

I'm not in touch with anyone else who was part of the trial. I only got to chat for a few minutes with some of them in the waiting room once and we weren't supposed to talk about the trial! I did bump into one older guy that was on the trial at the train station (I guess he had to travel across...

Q&A: Tinnitus Hub Meets Neuromod (Lenire)

That's okay! : ) It's not impossible that it had run its course but it's also not impossible that the device helped either. It's just impossible to know for sure, until we know the results of others on the trial (if that ever happens) or like you said some people who are really suffering get to...

Yes, the hyperacusis went away with my tinnitus, thankfully!

Q&A: Tinnitus Hub Meets Neuromod (Lenire)

It wasn't intermittent (as in coming and going) it was there all the time. Mild compared to others here yes.

Q&A: Tinnitus Hub Meets Neuromod (Lenire)

Yes, I had tinnitus for one and a half years before the trial. It was exactly the same that whole time, there all the time, the tone was always the same, loudness could vary for a few days when I was stressed etc. I had zero quiet days. I had no improvement at all before using the device. I used...

Q&A: Tinnitus Hub Meets Neuromod (Lenire)

My tinnitus was non-somatic. Neck or jaw movements had zero effect on it. A physiotherapist tested that with a range of movements on one of the visits during the trial.

Q&A: Tinnitus Hub Meets Neuromod (Lenire)

Sorry, didn't mean to confuse you. I presumed because they tested the loudness and tone of my tinnitus (my tinnitus was in my right ear and they were playing a matching tone in my left ear) in the hearing test booth that they would have used that information when setting up the device for me. I...

I hope for other people's sake it wasn't a coincidence but I guess that's not an impossibility!

Q&A: Tinnitus Hub Meets Neuromod (Lenire)

I was only ever at St. James's Hospital in Dublin for all of my visits.

That's no problem! Happy to share my experience and give any info I can.

Q&A: Tinnitus Hub Meets Neuromod (Lenire)

They followed my progress for just the 12 month period, that was the length of the trial. My tinnitus had completely gone by that last check up at 12 months. They are not contacting me now for outcome data or for anything else. The last time they contacted me was last November to invite me to a...

Yes, silence SILENCE. All I can hear is the ticking clock right now!

Q&A: Tinnitus Hub Meets Neuromod (Lenire)

Just one more thing before I head off. I'm not sure if I said already but the device played a whole range of tones, not just the one that matched my tinnitus sound. It didn't play them in a sequence either (as in low to high), it was very varied, high one second, low the next. It wasn't...
