Is Anyone Currently Doing "Nothing" for Their Tinnitus?

I don't need to do something about it anymore. When i need calm i can even put earmuffs. It is still very noisy but i care little. I sleep like a baby.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4389054/#brb3331-bib-0027 Confirms the poor opinion i have of the loudness matchings used to attempt to measure tinnitus. Abstract Introduction A fundamental question in phantom perception is determining whether the brain creates a network that...

'The Tinnitus Test' — Awareness Technique

People just wouldn't do it. I heard a story about a tinnitus conference where the participants were given headphones with a tinnitus sound playing. After five minutes everyone had taken off their headphones.

Hi from Melbourne Australia. It is after midnight here and this is when i struggle the most.

At the beginning, i downloaded nature noises i liked and played them before going to bed. It distracted me from the t. A sleeping ritual may help. I drank some lime blossom tea. The beginnings are the worst. Now, i don't need anything. No sleeping pills, no distracting noise.

    Astronomer with Tinnitus

I am too an amateur astronomer. Living in a very light polluted country with a tight budget. I use a meade ETX-70 refractor. As weird as it sounds the targeting computer is useful. I could buy a better one but i have no car so why bother. :)

    Living in the Twilight Zone

I used that same expressions "to be in the twilight zone". If you are wondering if you have tinnitus you are one of the lucky ones who have a mild case. Good. I like calm and quiet. I hate "meaningless and vulgar noises". My tinnitus was that bad that i was unable to finish one page of a comic...

    NATO Headed for the Ukraine

Hi Dave, I guess the speaker got some thing a bit mixed up. There are talks to make a small (4000 men) NATO quick reaction force which could be ready in 24 hours. The actual quick reaction force is slower. But it is supposed to intervene in NATO territory only. Sending troops in Ukraine would...

    NATO Headed for the Ukraine

Erm, Dave, do you have a source for that history of sending troops in Ukraine ? Part of the US and NATO is indeed stupid but not that stupid as to start the third worl war to defend the incompetent and corrupt leaders of a bankrupt state. Our diplomats are already tearing their hair out over...

Why We Don't Hear Tinnitus in Our Dreams and Why It Is a Clue

Abstract There are pathophysiological, clinical, and treatment analogies between phantom limb pain and phantom sound (i.e., tinnitus). Phantom limb pain commonly is absent in dreams, and the question arises whether this is also the case for tinnitus. A questionnaire was given to 78 consecutive...

    New Place!

I am glad you found a way to shorten your commute. A duplex seems great. In my neck of the woods they cost thousands of euros per month to rent. I am surprised, i thought Boston was an expensive city. My city is so congested it is not uncommon to do two hours commutes in the traffic jams. I have...
