I Invented a Sound That Knocked Out My Tinnitus

If you look up Lou Reed - Metal Machine Music, he has something similar to Tinnitus Mix. I remember someone claiming some similar sounds took their tinnitus away. I wonder what and how the brain interprets these sounds. Maybe using mindfulness meditation while listening to these sounds could...

    Low Frequency Tinnitus

I really hope so. Because it never used to be this loud before. I’ve started doing nasal rinses because I feel like my Eustachian tubes may be messed up due to all the flying and Valsava maneuvers I have done. Do you think the Susan Shore device could help this kind of tinnitus?

    Low Frequency Tinnitus

I wanted to ask a general question about the low hum tinnitus. It seems like it’s been a bit more prominent now since I got a sinus infection and cold last year. Being in a room with the ceiling fan used to mask it, but not anymore. I used to be able to clear my ears using the Valsalva maneuver...

Evidence of Cochlear Neural Degeneration in Normal-Hearing Subjects with Tinnitus

I honestly don’t think you need to have noise exposure to have tinnitus. The use of daily chemicals, medicines, and even fumes can lead to neural issues. Look at some of the safety labels for chemicals we might use daily, or just paint fumes! Some state being able to cause neural issues which...

Evidence of Cochlear Neural Degeneration in Normal-Hearing Subjects with Tinnitus

I agree. Nerve repair should be on higher on the list of things to investigate rather than hearing repair. Not saying hearing restoration wouldn’t be nice but I’ve been noticing more and more articles on nerve repair discussion and brain trimming than anything else.

Tonic Tensor Tympani Syndrome (TTTS): Some Success with Chiropractic Treatment Followed by New Issue

I have this same feeling after my recent sinus infection. My left ear always feels exactly like yours. Has it gotten any better? I’ve had this feeling since February of this year. Sometimes my ear drum flutters when I move my jaw. My ENT thinks it could be TMJ related. What exactly does your...

Rocephin (Ceftriaxone) — Ototoxic or Safe for Tinnitus Sufferers?

Cefdinir plagued my hyperacusis and aural feeling in my left ear after taking it. So just because it's not listed as ototoxic, doesn't mean it couldn't affect anyone any different. I took Cefdinir for my sinus infection and I was getting excruciating ear pain after taking it. I'm letting you...
