I over-used salicylates for my migraine headaches, and even when I stopped using the salicylates my bilateral tinnitus, which is moderately severe, has been a permanent fixture since 1988. Most of the time I can tune it out, or not pay attention to it. It makes conversations in noisy environments difficult. I have significant high end hearing loss in both ears, although it is worse in my right ear. I've worn a hearing aid in my right ear since the late 1990's. I currently use an in-the canal Oticon, which has been helpful, but doesn't do anything for the tinnitus. I'm exploring bedtime use of white noise-generating earplugs, and would appreciate advice wrt models that have worked for others, and what # of decibels of white noise that I should be shooting for. Thanks, in advance for any advice.
