Tinnitus Volume Increase, High-Pitch Ringing Especially Bad When Lying Down — Can't Sleep

I was under the impression that the SoundPillow would not help much. You don't feel as though your tinnitus worsens due to continuous white noise every night?

Tinnitus Volume Increase, High-Pitch Ringing Especially Bad When Lying Down — Can't Sleep

That's what I'm really hoping for @Michael B. I bought some Zinc, B-complex, and ginko to see if that helps. Glad yours resolved.

Tinnitus Volume Increase, High-Pitch Ringing Especially Bad When Lying Down — Can't Sleep

I do not and have not taken any meds, besides supplements, in over a year so probably not the culprit. I haven't tried the sound pillow. Do you find it helpful?

Tinnitus Volume Increase, High-Pitch Ringing Especially Bad When Lying Down — Can't Sleep

Hey guys, I'm going on almost 7 years with intrusive tinnitus after attending an indoor gun range with improperly fitted hearing protection. My left ear was left with mild hearing loss and moderate to severe tinnitus and my right ear was only left with some (about 15 dB loss in the 4 kHz-6 kHz...

Other Than "NO!", Is There Anything POSITIVE That Has Resulted from Your Tinnitus?

I agree. I always wanted to have a new car, nice house, be a surgeon. Now, I have only what is needed and nothing else. I don't care much for luxury. I still want to work in the medical field but more so to help others with ailments. Maybe become a physician's assistant. Also, I have learned to...

    TMJ or Meniere's?

Sounds more like TMJ. None of the symptoms point to classic Meniere's. Def see an ENT and a dentist. If one doesn't help fix the issue see another. I have had many Meniere's symptoms but have not had an official diagnosis.

    I'm So Done

Hey @derpytia, I remember you and I came to this forum around the same time four years ago. It has been a journey for me as well. I really feel your pain and suffering but like most have said, keep exhausting options. Talk to people on this forum or similar situations like us. My hearing loss...

Isn't It OK to Use Headphones Even at Low Volume?

I didn't think listening to headphones would affect my ears since I never exceeded 25% of max volume (usually stayed between 10%-15%). I would use them at the gym to help mask my T and they offered some protection against loud noises at the gym. After about 3 months my T was so bothersome and I...

    Should I Stop Taking Antibiotics?

Thanks @fishbone, exactly how I feel. Before taking the antibiotics I could barely breathe and I'm now much better. I would hate to fet back to how I was because I stop taking the antibiotics.

    Should I Stop Taking Antibiotics?

Thanks for the advice. I've done a lot of research as well and taken orally it doesn't seem to be high risk but the ringing has definitely increased in intensity. I've taken azithromycin pre-T with no issues but I guess I could be more susceptible now. It could also just be my anxiety as well...

    Should I Stop Taking Antibiotics?

I was recently diagnosed with bronchitis/pharyngitis. I have been sick constantly this year from upper respiratory infections and have taken an oral course of penicillin in Jan 2017 and an oral course of amoxicillin about 2 months later, both for sinus infection/pharyngitis. I now have been...

    Stagnant, Looking for Advice

@Michael Leigh Thanks for the response. Those were some very detailed and informative posts about your journey with these ailments. I do want to give sound therapy a try and maybe try some low-dose antidepressant to get me through this hump.

    Stagnant, Looking for Advice

Hey everyone, It has been a while since I've posted on TT. This month will be my 3 year anniversary with intrusive T and moderate HL. I wish I could say I am habituated but although I am not am nervous wreck like I was in the beginning, I still deal with hardships daily. I graduated 2 years...
