    Neurofeedback for Tinnitus

Hello Katie, I am in the Florida Panhandle and undergoing treatment in Fort Walton. So far, the results have been mixed, and I have been experiencing some side effects, which are apparently normal before adjustments are made. I have not come across others doing Neurofeedback specifically for...

    Neurofeedback for Tinnitus

Has it worked for you? I’ve started a course of 24 sessions, and I really hope it helps. I’m not expecting it to eliminate my symptoms completely, but I would love to see a significant reduction. Any updates would be greatly appreciated.

    Ashwagandha

That's terrible to know @Gabriel; has your tinnitus gotten better? I have terrible insomnia, and I need to do something about it. Are you sure it was because of Ashwagandha, or were you taking other stuff? There could be other culprits. I hope your tinnitus has gone down in volume and...

Can Levitra (Vardenafil), Erectile Dysfunction Treatment, Make Tinnitus Worse?

Hello @Luman, Thanks for the advice. Have you resumed taking Viagra afterwards? Any experience with Vardenafil? I have read about the pump, the problem is that it is not discreet. Besides, it seems painful and too much hassle. Imagine showing that device to someone that is not a long-life...

Can Levitra (Vardenafil), Erectile Dysfunction Treatment, Make Tinnitus Worse?

I hope you're all doing well and that in 2024 they find a real cure for tinnitus. I'm once again in a dilemma, ever since tinnitus decided to change my life, not only affecting my well-being, but also ridiculously affecting my life choices. I'm 45 years old, and even though I don't suffer from...

Loud Distressing Tinnitus After Open Air Concert: Is This a Spike or My New Normal?

Thank you for your reply @TammiaR. It's been fluctuating like crazy. I had a couple of semi acceptable days (tinnitus became non-reactive), but today it is electrical, extremely sharp, and it's driving me crazy. Even though it is not reactive, it is very difficult to mask. Not sure if it's the...

Loud Distressing Tinnitus After Open Air Concert: Is This a Spike or My New Normal?

Hello there, sorry I'm not more cheerful. I'm really sad and scared. I'm looking for some words of encouragement and action plan based on your own experiences. I'm sure I'm not the first one to experience this situation. My already distressing tinnitus became reactive a couple of days ago. Not...

Did Cannabis or Loud Music Through Headphones Cause My Tinnitus?

Same here. However, I notice that CBD has little to no effect on my tinnitus. Also, cannabis in moderation might not cause a spike. And if it does, in my experience, it is short lived.

Loud Distressing Tinnitus After Open Air Concert: Is This a Spike or My New Normal?

Thank you so much for your advice @MusicTeacher. The spike subsided after 5 days. I must say that it lasted longer, because the next day I heard for seconds a fire alarm. So, the tinnitus got to "alarming" levels (no pun intended), but fortunately, it came to the baseline, and I had a week that...

Loud Distressing Tinnitus After Open Air Concert: Is This a Spike or My New Normal?

Hello, I hope you're doing fine. I was almost ready to post a success story after 3 months of making improvements in my tinnitus. It wasn't gone, but definitely much better. However, a dark cloud has come again. Yesterday I went to an open air concert. It didn't seem too loud, however, at...

Tinnitus Made Worse by Attending a Concert without Earplugs — Has Taking Zoloft Helped Anyone?

Hello @Baggs, I'm sorry that this happened to you. I'm in the same situation. Last night I went to a concert (open air space), and all of a sudden, the sound increased, I could even feel the vibration. Now I have an increased metallic sound in my left ear. I had it before, but I'm not sure if...

Terrible Tinnitus Spike Caused by Taking Diosmin & Hesperidin or Eating Apples?

No, actually, the sound of crunchiness calms my tinnitus down for a little while. I think it was me being paranoid, as I've eaten lots of apples lately and my tinnitus has been OK. Probably it was the supplement or just like the other member said, stress and anxiety. Tinnitus is a...

I've had it for 3 years, but it has gotten better. The thing is that I had to taper very slowly (2 year taper) to avoid more complications. Accutane is a completely "different animal". My understanding is that once you stop taking Accutane the tinnitus should subside or at least improve...

Terrible Tinnitus Spike Caused by Taking Diosmin & Hesperidin or Eating Apples?

Thank you so much for your input and wishes, Deepak. Yes, I'm starting to notice the same pattern: that there is no pattern. Granted there are several things that are obvious to cause a spike: stress, lots of sugar, caffeine, or lots of fast food. But other than that, it seems quite random...
