I was happily working a part time job in a large lobby of a well known grocery store where the alarm for potential shop lifting suspects went off constantly. This job helped afford me spending money to supplement my teacher retirement pay. Now, I've had to quit and lose my health insurance until I'm eligible for Medicare next year. (I may consider a lawsuit since ear protection was neither provided or offered.)
Anyway, I'm already making steps towards trying to solve my T problem. With the help of the forum I found out about AM-101 and went to the Auris website whereby I followed the link for the clinical trials. I found a location in Dallas and filled out the form. When I didn't hear back, I called the office and discovered that I had to get a referral sent by my ENT to get an evaluation by the doctor conducting the trials. I did all that and now have an appointment for May 27. This particular trial is for those affected 90 days or less. It remains to be seen whether I'll be selected, but if I get selected and receive the treatment I'll keep you posted as I can't find any recent reports of results. Also, this week, I'm getting a hearing aid with a masker which I guess I'll not be able to wear while getting the treatment, if I can get it.
I really like the positive support I've seen on this forum and have learned a lot. Thanks!
