‘Wait and Watch’, My Doctor Said... Haha.

The tinnitus has not gone away but my negative reaction to it began to fade between the 8-12 month period. Your T will either physically go away or Your body will develop coping mechanisms to help fight it. You will improve.

@JudyM - it’s a constant noise but the ambient noise, like when I’m outside at work, or inside with the humming of the computer servers, drowns it out. At home, the Xbox fan or traffic outside the window helps drown out the noise too. I reckon I only ‘notice’ it intermittently, but it’s def...

@all to gain - that’s an excellent idea. I even remember someone saying this would be soothing before I ever got T. It’s incredible how ambient noise, like passing cars, would interrupt sleep pre-T but become a welcome relief post-T. This may be a hot take, but maybe it’s a lesson for all...

@JohnAdams - Tis grand man. It’s all a bit of craic @Agrajag364 - yea, it’s a funny old thing. Recently I went to a nurse about a different illness. Brought T up just because. And she said she had it after one too many raves but eventually, it went away. And now it only resurface every now and...

@JohnAdams Tried that reddit cure. I guess it takes my mind away from the tinnitus. Will try it the next time it begins to bother me. @Agrajag364 For a month in? I’m not sure I know what you mean.

Sorry for the long title. It’s been just over 4 months and I’m beginning to feel this is now long term. Acoustic trauma caused this horrific situation. By the 3rd month I finally gave up the brown noise at night via my phone app (Rain Rain). Now, I just (somehow) ignore it and sleep. I think...

Everyone is different. Every situation is different. You have to make a decision and live with it. Thank you for your advice warning Bill. Thankfully the event is outside and not too loud

I experience the ear fullness. I am at a wedding at the moment. It is a marque and isn’t too loud but when the DJ comes on I will be applying the earplugs. Unfortunately they are bright yellow and orange but....it’s better than listening to a higher pitch sound for the rest of my life!

Out of the 3 other lads, one had ear defenders. And put them on eventually. I am 29. Haven’t had an audio gram but judging by a quick search on google, I,d say it’s less than 10db as bird noise drowns the tinnitus out

Hi, I’ve had the ringing now for 6 weeks. It’s been a memorable one! It started with a project at work. It involved working in a basement. It was amazing, there were so many rooms and corridors and I got lost a few times. We needed to get through a floor, the structural soils guys needed to...
