Hi...

I just developed tinnitus for the first time in February and I am very hopeless... I've never had it before. It came out of nowhere along with hyperacusis.

I'm crying and falling apart... Can you please help me in some way?

Lex is a rare person who has also been experiencing burning pain in addition to T. You might want to read her posts (in that thread and in other threads), especially the posts she made before she left the site. The bottom line is that she got better, but that the process of healing is very slow.

She found it helpful to stay away from noises. In her case, the noise of loud music at the mall gave her a serious spike that had lasted months.

By all means try magnesium,, zinc, NAC, apple cider vinegar, and turmeric. Some people report that one or more of these help them.

Don't worry about making those mistakes early on. It is natural to continue being exposed to noises that had been safe before the onset of your T.
