Well I know in my case there was zero improvement.

My tinnitus just started out as a low hiss one day in 1999 and got worse as time went by. My therapy ended last Sept. Was given no reason it just didn't take that's why it would be interesting to find out the results from the others. You would think the results should be known by now.

I have not kept track but have they released the results of the study I was in? Heard there was 30 involved. Be nice to find out how the other 29 fared.

Been awhile since I have been on here but i'm the one who took part in the VNS study. Had the implants in Jan. 2015. Did the whole study and in my case I noticed no improvement. Have not kept up with the overall results were from the other people who also did the study.

Hudson, I heard you went to the conference. I went both days but could not stay the whole time. I looked around for you on Saturday but did not see you. I was sitting about 2 rows from the back on the left side. What did you think of it?

Patient. From the looks of things I might go both days. Theres a little here and a little there I want to hear about.

Hudson, Off topic for this question. The tinnitus conference is this Friday and Saturday in Iowa City. Are you going both days? If not do you have a list of the people you want to hear speak. I see Saturday is people talking about tinnitus related items. Thanks!

Just a reminder that parking at the hospital is terrible and expensive. I would download where the parking ramps are. There doing more construction(they always are)so it will be tricky to find them. And watch your speed limit cause they always have speed traps set up. Seriously when the speed...

Good Luck to you. I'm here in the U of Iowa Hospital Tinnitus Clinic(Iowa City)area and i'm being considered for the VNS study. I'm at the stage right now of finding out as much as possible of the study to see if there is any negative side effects of the treatment.

Have had severe tinnitus for 14 years and the U of Iowa Hospital is a 30 minute drive for me. I have registered for the study.

You mention you have tried a t-vns device at the Helsinki Tinnitus Clinic. I'm seeing if I can qualify for the VNS trial here in the United States where they would implant the device. Can a person buy the device that you are talking about and if so how would it differ from the implanted device...
