You could just pop in ear plugs when you're scheduled to wash dishes. It'll be easier to obsessively monitor your tinnitus and you won't have to worry about an infection from constantly plugging your ears.

Do you? Haven't you mentioned how good your hearing is? How much you enjoy hearing all the detail in your hifi stereos? How severe of tinnitus could you possibly have experienced (if you even have, we wouldn't know). b.s Just because you can't cope doesn't mean someone else can't.

It's really dependent on the person. I could snack on salty, sugary foods all throughout the day, have a pot of coffee, too, with zero affect on my T.

alcohol is one of the very few things that affects my T. A beer or two doesn't really do anything to it, but if I tie one on and enjoy more than a few pints of a delicious ale, my head is just buzzing with T.

It's kind of funny in a sad way. A lot of tinnitus sufferers are so knowledgeable about tinnitus, they read about it obesseively, know there's no cure, and then make an ENT appointment and get mad their ENT can't fix them. wtf?

Yep! I woke up in the middle of an intense dream and my head sounded like someone hit me with two massive tuning forks! It was a volume of tinnitus I didn't think my brain was even capable of producing. Took about 40 minutes to go away. I only had that experience one time, thankfully.

@Word_is_Bond , I think you're fortunate to still have normal hearing. You should be thankful for that; a lot of people don't get that lucky. Habituation will come with time. Keep your head up
