In-Cabin Noise Level of Wide-Body Aircraft — Airbus A380 the Quietest

A few thoughts from someone with long-standing tinnitus who's been on well over a hundred flights around the world with tinnitus: (1) Does my tinnitus get worse after a flight? Not noticeably, maybe for a little while because all loud noise, including plane noise, spikes my tinnitus for at...

If You Have Pulsatile Tinnitus, Here's the First Thing You Need to Do to Get Answers and a Diagnosis

@Russell Grimes, thanks, this is a great idea. I've identified a few at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. Of course, their contact information is hidden better than the CIA. Hopefully, I'll find someone I can contact.

If You Have Pulsatile Tinnitus, Here's the First Thing You Need to Do to Get Answers and a Diagnosis

Thank you @tiniturtle for this super helpful post. Despite my ENT's assurances that I do not have pulsatile tinnitus because I can't hear it all the time, it sounds like the pulsing I hear at the same rate as my pulse requires advice from an expert. But how do I find a neurointerventional...

Could This Be (Intermittent) Pulsatile Tinnitus?

@Forever hopeful, thank you so much for your thoughts. I experience it similarly, mainly hearing the pulsing in bed when I wake up or after my pulse increases. I just had my wife compare my pulse to my pulsing, and... it was the same. So I'm skeptical that this is not pulsatile tinnitus...

Hi, I'm Jeff — Tinnitus for Over 30 Years Since Wrecking My Ears in Mosh Pits as a Teenager

Thank you for the welcome! I don't know what changed--it just happened for no reason I'm aware of. I'm hoping I'll be able to train myself to ignore it if I shouldn't worry about it. It does create some stress right now. I described my pulsiness in a post in the pulsatile tinnitus forum, but no...

Crazy Tinnitus Spike, After Years of Stable Tinnitus (I'm a Musician)

Hey, wow, our stories are similar. I've had tinnitus since the 90's too, which I got from loud concerts, and mostly ignored it -- until it started getting louder and pulsy this year. I hope it gets better for you; I'm working on managing it too.

Hi, I'm Jeff — Tinnitus for Over 30 Years Since Wrecking My Ears in Mosh Pits as a Teenager

Hey all! Thanks for being on these forums. I've had tinnitus since wrecking my ears in mosh pits as a teenager. I've ignored the high-pitched whine I've heard all the time for over 30 years. Until this year, that is, when my tinnitus got louder and more pulsy. I'm trying not to worry about...

Could This Be (Intermittent) Pulsatile Tinnitus?

Hi all! I’ve had tinnitus for 30 years as a constant high-pitched static. I’ve long ignored it. But in the last several months, the tinnitus in my left ear has gotten louder and has taken on a pulsing quality for much of the day. I’d like your thoughts on whether this could be pulsatile. (1)...
