From Darkness to Light, How I Recovered from Tinnitus & Hyperacusis

Billie, do you still have the cotton balls ear fullness? How do you not feel terrified at the shocking physical loss? I'm still struggling with the abnormal hearing. I couldn't hear a thief come up behind me, which scares me.

Do Any of You Live by Yourself with Hyperacusis?

I'm so sorry for your new pain, as if this condition wasn't bad enough already. Was there an identifiable trigger to your recent ear and face pain? Have you considered Psilocybin as it's been mentioned on this forum and by mushroom expert Paul Stamets as neuroregenerative, treating tinnitus...

    Dysacusis — Will It Subside?

I've seen a plethora of clueless ENTs, even clueless otoneurologists. Highly consider changing. Have you been to Michigan Eye and Ear? Dr Borjab Sr is supposedly good.

    Dysacusis — Will It Subside?

    Distorted Hearing

Yes I'm experiencing the "listening through a seashell" distortion to low frequency sounds like deep voices, snoring, knocking hollow wood. Anyone experiencing this long-term and coping?

Post Your Current Medication / Supplement Stack

Reading your response is super helpful because my daily horror of symptoms and the robbery of quality of life sounds similar, and yet, I see how well you're functioning in auditory (and visual) Hell with its unavoidable loads of depression and anxiety. You're definitely coping better and...

@FGG, also, wondering if your distortions or hearing loss contributed to your panic attacks? My many distortions and hearing loss are horrifying to my nervous system.

Post Your Current Medication / Supplement Stack

Thank you so much for the prompt response. I'm plagued more by the "cochlear" rather than the vestibular part. Would your feedback change about how to intervene if the tinnitus and distortions are the most panic inducing for me, as the vestibular issues have tampered down a lot?

Post Your Current Medication / Supplement Stack

@FGG @Greg Sacramento @GBB Do these theories help us know how to disable the panic response? How to interpret on a practical level of what to do? I think at this point my panic has a life of its own and is hardwired into my brain after extremely long uncoping stress. Help! Looking for...
