This is one of my favorite threads. I love the stories about people who recovered from acoustic trauma even after years of being exposed to loud sounds. I really hope I recover before winter sets in, my favorite part of winter is how quiet it gets right after the first snowfall.

I highly discourage anyone from trying this, or anything else like it. These don't work, and can even be detrimental to your recovery. If this was an effective method of treating tinnitus, audiologists would've capitalized on this a long time ago. Seriously, don't try it.

It started to quiet down a couple of weeks after the initial trauma, but I didn't start noticing any meaningful improvements until the 2.5 month mark. I still have bad days, but it's never returned to the volume it was initially.
