    Viagra/Sildenafil with Pre-Existing Tinnitus

Hi all, I'm experiencing performance-anxiety-related erectile dysfunction (ED) and was recommended using ED medication (e.g. low dose of Viagra/Sildenafil) a few times to rebuild my confidence. I was wondering: is there anyone on the forum who takes Viagra/Sildenafil? Is there any change in...

NRR, SNR, HML — Hearing Protection Ratings Demystified?

Even if we knew for sure, it doesn't really matter. Tinnitus can get worse due to noise exposure, with or without earplugs - go with whatever level of protection makes you feel like you're not taking unnecessary risks :) Don't expose yourself to unnecessarily loud noise and remember to have a...

Is Anyone with Tinnitus Planning to Watch Star Wars 9 in Theaters?

Delayed Loud Tinnitus Spike from a Loud Video Clip or the Dentist? Confused and Scared

As much as I agree with you on taking reasonable precautions, I don't really see any easily avoidable mistakes here... OP, stay strong. As with any spike - this is very likely to reduce in volume, at least some, or even go back to how it used to be. Tinnitus is horrible, but you can do this.

Shooting a Gun in Police Academy — Could I Do It with Tinnitus?

Sorry to hear that. Good decision. No, it is not possible. The bones in your skull can conduct noise - normally it is negligible, but with extremely loud noise such as gunfire it can be significant and sufficient to cause damage.

Is It Safe to Go to a Bar/Club with Long-Standing Tinnitus?

When my tinnitus started, I had a very hard time adjusting to my new "lifestyle" with no bars and restaurants. Tom's posts were always very positive and gave me hope that when my T "stabilises" I'll be able to go back to the things I like to do so much. Just randomly saying thanks. Anyhow, I...

Spike from Loud Music (Approx 90 dB) or Maybe from Alcohol? Or Maybe Just a Product of Worrying?

I always get a spike after alcohol. Try not to think about it :) You might consider getting some magnesium - it might not help but will make you feel more proactive and "like you're doing something about it". Take care

Comedy Show — Will It Be Loud? Are Earplugs Enough Protection?

I've always been a big fan of stand-up. Laughing can get laud, clapping can get loud. Choose earplugs according to your sound tolerance and you will be fine. Enjoy the show :)

    Psoriasis

Hi everyone! Does anyone have any experience with psoriasis and can maybe provide some encouragement? I have a red, scaling patch on my palm, yet to see my GP. I don't know why, but possibly developing this skin condition now, on top of tinnitus and hyperacusis, is really making me feel...

    My Heart Is Dancing Waltz

High blood pressure and strokes. Not sure if these are hereditary. Yes. EKG (normal), all kinds of blood tests (all normal, low(ish) potassium) and drip (Mg and K). After that there was 30 seconds long conversation with the doctor. That's all. I'm feeling ok, I'm seeing a doctor tomorrow and...
