    Hyperacusis Cured/Reduced by Clomipramine

I used to take 25 mg Amitriptyline and it helped my delayed burning pain slightly. Today I bought Clomipramine from one pharmacy (luckily they don't ask for prescription). I will start tonight, then report about my progress after at least 6, maybe even 8 weeks. I used to have some good...

Thanks a lot for the encouragement. Yes spikes are unavoidable, sometimes they come out of nowhere.. I used to have tinnitus spikes for 2 months. This one lasts almost 2 months. For things to get worse, somebody threw a firecracker close to me. From moderate level of hyperacusis I'm back to...

    Viagra/Sildenafil with Pre-Existing Tinnitus

I have had tinnitus from April 2017 and hyperacusis from October 2018. In the last 2 years my tinnitus was mostly 2/10, maybe sometimes 3/10, but after taking 75 mg of Sildenafil at the beginning of December 2022, my tinnitus became 7-8 /10. I feel so depressed right now but I had no idea that...

Erectile Dysfunction (ED) and Performance Anxiety — Has Cialis or Viagra Impacted Your Tinnitus?

@Bart, I have had a horrible tinnitus spike for 2 weeks after taking 70-80 mg of Sildenafil. For how long did your spikes usually last? I'm scared that this new level will remain permanently...

Round and Oval Window Reinforcement for the Treatment of Hyperacusis

@weab00 Unfortunately, this surgery isn't working for me. From my observations, I believe that this surgery mostly help people in category 3 rather than category 4.

Ear Fluttering: Along with Tinnitus and Hyperacusis My Ear Flutters

@stacey There is a surgery for TTTS where they can cut 2 muscles inside the middle ear. A few people reported huge improvement. I'm not so familiar but I have seen a few posts on Facebook. It seems like an easy procedure. I don't know if it works for everyone.. I think I have TTTS too due my...

    Gabapentin (Neurontin)

The instant pain hasn't changed at all I believe. The delayed pain has become better but I must note I was taking GABA in combo with Amitriptyline so I'm not sure if the the combo made the delayed effect slightly better or just Gabapentin..

Surgically Cutting the Tympanic Muscle in an Effort to Help Severe Noxacusis (Pain Hyperacusis)!

@Juan I had the round and oval window reinforcement surgery performed by surgeon who never ever had experience with this surgery but I assume that this surgery it's much safer and easier to perform compared with cutting the tympanic muscle ?

Round and Oval Window Reinforcement for the Treatment of Hyperacusis

@Daniel Lion Thanks a lot. What is the cause of your hyperacusis? Do you have both pain and loudness hyperacusis?

Round and Oval Window Reinforcement for the Treatment of Hyperacusis

I had the surgery in Croatia. Doctor Djuric performed the surgery for the first time. He had no experience before with round and oval window reinforcement. However, he has performed so many different procedures and he has great experience with plastic and middle ear surgeries. The name of the...

Round and Oval Window Reinforcement for the Treatment of Hyperacusis

I had the surgery 6 weeks ago. So far no improvement but I remain optimistic that maybe it's still too early. Maybe the new tissue still needs time to scar and connect with the windows and stapes.

High Pitch Noise Causing Toothaches and Facial Tension

@Contrast Maybe some sort of neuralgia? I always thought that my aching, sunburn, hot chilli symptoms are some form of geniculate neuralgia. Maybe that aching is totally separate issue from hyperacusis?
