  • Took a nap with my cat using him like a pillow, he was purring. Got up and my ringing was replaced with an ocean in a very long tube sound.

Love that. My boy cat won't let me do that just briefly lay my head beside him & breathe slowly for a few
Momentary spikes when I open my jaw. Ear feels like it goes deaf for a second. Been using a nightguard for a year. Anyone have any ideas?

My ringing seems to go louder when I yawn. I assume the ringing is too do with bad jaw alignment and tmj. So ive been using heat compress on it and massaging my jaw. Unfortunately can't offer anymore than that. Maybe get referred to a specialist? I'll be doing the same I think.

No but I've gotten little shooting pain in opposite jaw but it goes away & I don't have tmj. Weird.
Anyone here shoot at ranges? How do you protect your ears? I'm thinking earplugs under earmuffs, think that will be enough?

If you have noise induced damage then you're playing with fire just my opinion

What the guy above said. Guns and loud inside concerts are on my never again list
Massive spike in left ear, happened sometime when I was in the gym. Ear feels plugged up and almost wet inside. Any ideas what I did?

@martinberryhorse What a relief! Does your T change at all when exercising? Mine has always been ok, but lately it flares up a bit after working out.

@Nadia231 Almost never, even under extreme strain like maxing a deadlift. Could it be a change in weather?

Since I rarely exercise except walk,I wonder if it was a nerve possibly in neck? I have f'd up neck/shoulder from car accident some days little discomfort but always wonder if tinnitus is connected. Can't get neck aligned doc said not good idea.
Woke up with sleep paralysis for the first time in my life today. Anyone else lucky enough to experience it?

@martinberryhorse I use(d) to experience it when falling asleep while doing something that should not entail following asleep, e.g. studying. I always "dream" of myself being in the exact same position in which I lay, but incapable of moving. The more I try to "move", the more I "realize" that I cannot... at some point I just wake up all sweaty

Didn't understand at first til I read @buttercake. Realized haven't had that in a long time. Before tinnitus etc. for me it's always been that I'm "waking up" even "putting feet on floor",but when i finally wake up I realize I was dreaming
So tired of always being alone but never having the energy to socialize in a way that doesn't repel people away from me at mach speed.
