I have T in my left ear. I was a guitarist in several heavy metal bands back in the 1980's. None of us used ear protection. That plus loud concerts, night clubs led to my T.
I have relatively quiet days when my T is barely noticeable, and others when it's raging. Although thinking about it instantly makes it louder.
I spend a lot of time listening to masking sounds.
