Take another sedative—or not. Read the bottle's instructions. Tinnitus is really mind over matter. It truly is. I recommend finding a calming agent, whether it's Xanax or something stronger, to help take your focus off the tinnitus.

You're not completely screwed. It really is mind over matter. Tinnitus will subside over time. Yes, it may get worse, and yes, it may get better. But keep a positive mindset and believe that it will improve each day because it does.

I have to say I’m a huge fan of Xanax when it comes to dealing with the anxiety that comes along with having tinnitus. It has helped immensely! I’d give it a try.

Xanax is a miracle drug. I had really loud tinnitus in my right ear during the start of COVID-19 and finally asked my doctor for Xanax to help me calm down and sleep. It really worked. The Xanax helped me not focus on the tinnitus and helped me fall asleep.

When I 1st got tinnitus I tried everything to sleep. Breathing exercises, Chamomile tea, Melatonin, pot. Nothing really worked until a friend gave me a few of her Xanax. I started with 1/2 a Xanax to see if it would calm me enough and make me feel drowsy and it did! It has helped immensely.
