Headphones vs. In-Ear Monitors (IEMs): The Safest Option with Pre-Existing Tinnitus?

Just to be clear, this is very subjective and specific to me. Over the years, I’ve found some audio exposure important in soothing my tinnitus. There’s lots of evidence that avoiding sound altogether can make things worse; it gave me hyperacusis. Only through audio exposure did I finally become...

Headphones vs. In-Ear Monitors (IEMs): The Safest Option with Pre-Existing Tinnitus?

I've noticed some discussions about the harmful effects of using headphones, but there's little mention of in-ear monitors (IEMs). I've been using IEMs for the past 4 years, and surprisingly, my tinnitus has actually decreased when using them at moderate levels. However, when I recently used...

My Saffron was pretty dang strong even for only 5 or 6 strands. I kind of crushed it between my fingers while adding to coffee but some of the strands stayed whole.

    Saffron Cure for Tinnitus?

I put some Saffron in my decaf coffee this morning with butter and I have to say my tinnitus has been very quiet all day. Even silent at times. Not sure if it's just me having a very good T day or somehow related. Will keep trying it for a week and see how it goes.

Participants Sought for UT Austin Research

Is this similar to the test I did in Dallas? I sat there for two hours and listened to tones, it was kind of annoying. But I did get to learn a lot about what's going on in tinnitus research.

    Noise-Related Tinnitus: Brain Remapping Experiment

So I have to get my earwax cleaned out every few months and have noticed a continuing improvement in my bad ear each time they remove the wax. Strangely I used to never get this much wax buildup before my T.

Low-Level Bass Too Loud in One Ear?

I have definitely had dizzy spells and still do sometimes. My GP said it's because my blood pressure is so low that sometimes I get dizzy but I dunno about that. Pressure sensitivity Sound sensitivity Fatigue Headache/migraines Tinnitus – high pitched ringing in the ears The symptoms of SSCD...

Low-Level Bass Too Loud in One Ear?

Whoa I had the same symptoms earlier on with my tinnitus/hyperacusis. I've learned to adapt and barely notice it at this point but one ear definitely hears bass way louder than the other.

Going to LA to Hopefully Cure My Tinnitus, Am I Crazy?

Waste of time and money. Several friends have been to the House Institute in LA and I saw several alternative doctors and ENTs while I lived in LA. Sorry bud :( look for clinical trials in UK there are a lot more there than here in the states.
