As a producer do you put a limiter or anything on the master bus to stop audio suddenly spiking ? Also what type of studio monitors are you using ? Do you use big speakers played quietly or small/medium sized speakers ? I have reactive tinnitus and hyperacusis but hope to start producing again

I am basing this on nothing but intuition but I feel very confident about this device, almost arrogant levels of confidence. My intuition has been spookily accurate in the past.

I take Amitriptyline and it helped it a little. I am interested about Clomipramine after reading the thread about it. What medication gave you side effects? I do sometimes wonder if being an anxious person results in being hypervigilant, which causes part of the sound sensitivity. But I guess...

My left ear distorts. If I move my jaw awkwardly/if it is pulled on with any force, it irritates my TMJ and my left ear starts distorting for a few weeks. It seems anxiety is closely linked to hyperacusis. Have you tried any anxiety medication?

Repetitive moment accompanied with bad neck posture is probably messing up your jaw and ear... maybe shoulder too. You should probably visit a physio and have your posture assessed.

Yeah it seems very common if you take a nap and your tinnitus drastically increases... I found this to be true.

Some chiros are good, but to fix postural issues you need stretching and then add muscle strengthening.

i have seen a few! The chiro at the moment told me basically my whole right side is tilted forward, mainly pelvis and shoulder, which this causes strain on the neck and jaw and pulls on the cranial nerves, possibly vagus nerve. Working on addressing the issues but difficult with a bad neck/jaw.
