Try This Medication for Tinnitus — Lamotrigine (Epitec)

Lamotrigine definitely did not help my tinnitus and I'm pretty sure it made it worst. I have been on it for several years for bipolar which started post vietnam. I'm going to discontinue Lamotrigine completely to see if it helps reduce tinnitus. I believe it helped the bipolar symptoms...

    Recent Onset of Tinnitus

I've dealt with T since 1971 and although that's not a lifetime it's a significant amount of time. I'm just saying don't freak out and get in a tissy. You got this and ain't no damn T going to whup ya.

    It’s Been a Long Journey

The thing is don't let it beat you down. If you tough it out then eventually your brain wants to forget it. There are times when I don't even notice I have T. Then there are times when I drink bourbon and the next morning a freight train invaded my house.... Just saying watch what causes the...

    It’s Been a Long Journey

Sounds like you have the medical part covered. I have sound induced T so I'm thinking mine will be with me until the cows come home and I don't have no frigging cows. Hopefully yours will go as quickly as it came. For now research the threads in this forum and maybe try some of the treatments...

    Golfers... Desperation

Maybe you're focusing too much on your T and not enough on golf? You can do this so keep trying and don't let the noise overcome your fun. It's not worth it! Dig deep and do it....

    Golfers... Desperation

Explosions, rife fire, etc. and nope we did not wear noise protection. You had to be able to hear if the enemy was approaching and if you plugged ya ears up, you would be in deep dodo.

    Golfers... Desperation

Nope I don't actually notice it however my tinnitus came from loud noise exposure during the vietnam war. I'm a rookie here and now learning all the different forms of tinnitus and what sets off the spikes. Maybe you need to look at picking up a different driver. My Cobra F6 has more of a...

    Golfers... Desperation

I've been playing golf for 37 years with tinnitus and have never heard of wearing ear plugs. Actually golf helps me too forget about my tinnitus and enjoy the day. Golfing and going to my gym for two hour workouts are my savior when it comes to blanking out the ring.

    Hello to You All

First of all welcome aboard and it looks like you have covered the medical bases pretty well. I wouldn't go the MRI route for now unless those headaches stick around and get worse. . You can always reschedule it later. Glad you joined up as there is a ton of great info on this forum... Don't...

    Hey Guys :)

I play golf at two times per week, go to my gym 4 days per week and walk my dog two to three times daily. Just being active really helps me to deal with T. IMO the worst thing a person can do is pity themselves and sit around doing nothing. Get out there and stay active because it helps!
