I had a terrible spike that lasted a few days, really loud. That was due to noise. I had a spike last a month due to nasal spray. But they all passed.

Im 5 and a half years in. Not sure your history but ill let you know, spikes suck and are scary, but they do pass. I've had spikes in various degrees of terrible and scary, but they always tend to calm back to baseline. Eventually you start to go oh, dang, and then you just move on and ride...

Evidence of Cochlear Neural Degeneration in Normal-Hearing Subjects with Tinnitus

How in the heck is this news or a development? "This just in, it's probably from nerve damage. This paves the way for future treatments with nerve regeneration" Uhhhh no s***. They've been talking about that since I got it 5 years ago.

Blocking Notch Pathway Leads to New Route to Hair Cell Regeneration to Restore Hearing

Tinnitus isn't necessarily permanent, as I've read many cases of spontaneous remission, even after years. Still, I agree. AI is a waste of time, and tinnitus is a tough nut to crack. We seemingly have made real progress, however.

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

I just heard on NPR Here & Now, they were promoting Lenire. A doctor out of Boston said his patients were having good rates of success. I was surprised considering how lackluster an experience everyone here seems to have.

Hough Ear Institute's Hair Cell Regeneration Project

I have no idea. I think he may be on LinkedIn. He spoke to me on the phone for quite a while one day. He's a really nice guy. I think Hough Ear Institute is legitimate but it's a non-profit that doesn't have operating capital. I also understood through Justin that this drug was previously a...

It's not going to get worse, provided you protect your ears. I'm almost 4 years in and it's improved. You'll have setbacks that can last months but it tends to get both better and you deal with it easier.

My 3rd Success Story with Noise-Induced Tinnitus

Thank you for sharing. This is why I don't ever, EVER, leave the house without earplugs in my pocket, and extras in the car if I lose mine. There will be the damnedest most random unexpected situations that arise and I'm glad I have the ear plugs. Keys, wallet, cellphone, ear plugs. Just the...

Gene-Correction Therapy Improves Hearing Loss by 10 Times

Not to bring up the mice again, but I recall reading they can be ordered by labs with genetic alterations to be born with issues from the get go for testing new ideas.

New University of Michigan Tinnitus Discovery — Signal Timing

Sorry if I missed it, but do I understand correctly, you had 65 dB of tinnitus years ago, used their device which caused a 15 dB reduction, which has remained consistent years later? I know that it didn't give the relief you've wanted or needed but still, an absolutely fascinating tip of the hat...

New University of Michigan Tinnitus Discovery — Signal Timing

I think her device has to be on to SOMETHING... Several potential treatments operate the same way with sound treatments you listen to, and she's been talking about this for what, 2 decades or something? That would be an impressive failure.

A Randomized Single-Blind Controlled Trial of a Prototype Digital Polytherapeutic for Tinnitus

My tinnitus varies over any given day or week like many others. One of my measurements that I've come to learn is if I can hear it while driving down the road. On days where I can say man, it's particularly bothersome, I can hear it over the road noise. On good days I can drive a while and...
