Hi, I'm in my early 60's, so I suppose that my age is a factor in the cause of my T . I'm now gathering information and experimenting with diet and lifestyle changes. Just before my high pitched T began I was taking a quercetin / bromelian supplement for allergies every day for about 6 weeks. Discontinued because it made me feel anxious and wired, making me lose sleep. I've learned that quercetin has similar actions to SSRI's. I woke up with LOUD T the day after I discontinued these pills. I was also under some extra stress and the lack of sleep didn't help. I had just started exercising on a mini trampoline (shaking things up in my head?) Also had been mowing the lawn with a standard push mower and weedwhacking in prior weeks without ear protection. I had been having lingering sinus inflammation after a bad cold from a couple of months before. I'd done some sinus irrigation but now am afraid to because that might've contributed to my T. I also know that I'm sensitive to salicylates, which were a huge part of my diet, eating lots of greens, olive oil and so on. My sinuses are in much better shape then they were in the beginning of my T adventure. I'm wary of taking too many supplements but so far have liked the calming effects of magnesium oil and taurine.
This is a great place to learn. I'm mostly a lurker, gathering info and finding tremendous support in knowing that I'm not alone. I appreciate everyone's posts. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute something useful at some point. My T continues to annoy me, especially at bedtime.
