Placebo is one hell of a beast.

Just finished the fourth day, and I have to admit, this is by far one of the most boring things I've ever done, and I don't think I can handle another day of this, its like watching paint dry. Result wise, I don't really notice any difference in my visual snow, but my visual snow is pretty mild...

The FDA isn't always logical, you can look at another aspect, why require placebo control for hearing loss treatment? as if you're magically going to hear frequencies you physically can't after swallowing a sham..

Oh so it was probably not just my wrong sense of time but I really did miss out a few minutes as I was preparing, hope it won't harm the progress, but I find it hard to believe.

Okay, I'm with you on this, especially as I got nothing to lose, just finished session number one, went alright, really lost time perspective while doing this as I thought I'm only half way through and all of a sudden I got the finished message.

Anyone knows what's up with Visual Snow Initiative’s Visual Imagery Project (VIP) trial? They popped out of nowhere with this trial and I couldn't find any information whatsoever regarding it or any science to back it up. If it wasn't free I'd call it snake oil but quite frankly I'm just confused.

Interesting, many of my problems started after Doxycycline as well.

I believe that curing tinnitus will result in curing VSS, at least for some.

But it's not about what they say, it's about what their audiogram says, raised your hand while I played a frequency you physically couldn't hear before? so it worked..

I have a question, why does this trial even need a placebo control? It's not like people are going to start hearing new frequencies due to the placebo effect...

I did the test a month after treatment, and yes, I quit the PPI's a month before re-checking. I had no pain tho so idk if I had gastritis, I had an episode of vomiting and a constant nausea, which I suffer from immensely to this day.

According to the breath test it is gone, despite accidentally taking half the daily dose of antibiotics, I do have a feeling its back tho, but gotta re-test.

The triple h. pylori had no effect on my tinnitus but my tinnitus did start after severe digestion problems, which I suffer from to this day.
