I am an elementary school teacher who recently remarried and moved to another city. I have had T (as I now have started calling it for close to four months). Generally I am a fun loving spunky female who loves life, her God, her husband and her dogs. Developing tinnitus about four months ago has truly changed my life. I have never been one to listen to loud music or be around heavy machinery. I don't think that my ears have suffered trauma. I have no hearing loss as verified by my audiologist.
I am fairly certain that the tinnitus was brought on by incredible life stressors that have recently occurred in my life: planning a wedding, moving to a new city, adjusting to new friends and trying to find another teaching job. Too much for someone just turning 50!
My tinnitus is constantly with me. Some days very subtle and some days quite profound. I keep waking up hoping that I am just living a bad dream - now after close to four months I am learning how to cope with this terrible thing that most people just can't seem to comprehend
