Silence for Days. May Be Cured.

Well to be honest it was intermittent first, then steady, then intermittent again, then gone. Description of T here: https://www.tinnitustalk.com/threads/is-my-tinnitus-unusual-please-help-identify-it.1604/ Details on how I cured it here...

Silence for Days. May Be Cured.

Even if it does return, silence is a huge good sign. My T went away intermittently before it left for good.

Does Anyone Have a Morse Code That Sounds Like This? (I Simulated It in This Video Example)

Yeah, at least in my case, it doesn't have to be loud.. it just has to be consistent white noise. It fueled my T.

I had something like this. Do you use a fan at night or an air conditioner? Mine went away once I eliminated white noise while sleeping.

'The Noise Got Too Loud, Sorry' — Christopher Neile, 57, Killed Himself Waiting to Go to Dignitas

That poor guy. Thank you for posting this, OP. The sheer brutality of this condition (for many people) needs to be in the spotlight.

I Hate TRT (Tinnitus Retraining Therapy)

0/20 medical conditions cannot be cured. Our problems - every one of them - are physical. They are made of stuff. Stuff can be fixed. No excuses.

I Hate TRT (Tinnitus Retraining Therapy)

Well take a hard look because 10 people on this forum SHOWED their appreciation for my comment, which tells us all we need to know about the validity of your 'doubts' and your judgement in general. I wonder when, and if, you will learn that you don't speak for everyone here. I fear you are well...

What Is Your Philosophy re: Dealing with Tinnitus?

What Is Your Philosophy re: Dealing with Tinnitus?

My philosophy is that if there is a problem, the only satisfactory outcome is to fix the problem. I will not accept it or try to contort my thinking to make it okay somehow, but rather try to cure it, and remain angry until and unless that happens. Basically I'm 0% "accept the things I cannot...

I Hate TRT (Tinnitus Retraining Therapy)

Agree with the OP. If my toilet wasn't working and the plumber arrived and he said "whelp, I'm not gonna fix your toilet, but here's some therapy to help you adjust to your new life of shitting in the woods".. guess what, he wouldn't be a plumber for very long. Because that industry isn't full...

    Suicide Is NEVER an Option

It's usually an unwise option. But it is an option. It'll hurt those who love you if you do it, but your life is your own and you are not required to suffer for anybody.

Tell Me the Truth... Is a Cure Realistic?

OP, given that: 1. You are young (or look it) 2. Your tinnitus was not apparently caused by excessive noise or any other physical damage 3. You got your T very recently (less than 2 months!) 4. Your T has intermittently stopped I would say you have high chances of recovering completely on your...

Stop Researching a Cure for Tinnitus. Anyone Can Recover Naturally.

Wow. I too had tinnitus, once, but I must have missed the part where it gave me omniscient knowledge of everyone's tinnitus ever.

To MRI or Not to MRI

I got it and regretted it. Brain looked impeccable. Noise wasn't too bad (earplugs!) but MRIs do cause radiation which increase the odds of future brain troubles.

Has Going to the Doctor Ever Helped with Tinnitus?

In my case, I would have figured out the solution to my T much faster than the 4 YEARS it took if I hadn't seen a worthless ENT.
