    I thought it might be sinuitus and followed the instructions to unblock my sinuses. It didn’t work. It did feel blocked; so, I think you are right in that assumption. Thanks!

    Thanks! It is pretty amazing. Hex: My ENT doctor checked the pressure in my ears and said it was normal. It seemed odd to me since it felt like I had a lot of pressure in my head. Yonkapin: That is an awesome story about your friend with a concussion.

    Thanks! I’m enjoying every minute of the silence. It makes me that much more appreciative. As for the flight, I think it made a difference that the airplane was older and had more pressure. I’ve traveled a lot in the last 2 1/2 years and the newer planes just didn’t do it for me.

    nineones: I do believe my tinnitus was somatic and not in my mind. I felt constant pressure in my head and the tinnitus was of a pulsative nature (in time with my heart beat). Because it felt like I just needed to “pop” my ears, I tried in vain to do so.
