[Danny Boy Memorial Fund] In Loving Memory of Danny Boy

Logged in to pay my respects. Danny Boy and I got our tinnitus very close together and arrived on the board at the same time. When I was really down he offered a meetup so we could both have a good rage at our misfortune together. That support struck me as a really kind thing to do and I've not...

Awareness Idea for Patient Research: Join the Dots

I initially collected a list of everything that had even the slightest whiff of being able to help: https://github.com/aioue/tinnitus-treatments/blob/master/to-be-sorted.md I attempted to start putting it into a mindmap and it's now left unfinished...

Autifony Phase II Trial Participants Experiences

Finished my 29 days of AUT00063 on the 4th of August 2015 (3 days ago). I had the quietest days of T since it started in this last month. Also some of the loudest. dB requirement is now 25 rather than 40 at the hospital I was at (Royal Ear Nose and Throat, London, UK). My left ear passed, my...

AM-101 Clinical Trial — Participants Updates and Discussion

I was eating very large quantities of vit-D3 for 3 months. Didn't do much, although I know nerves take time to grow.

@Romain B. Spike for 2 weeks, then moderately quieter than before. I'll be doing all three further rounds.

Waking Up With Absolutely Stupid Tinnitus

Hey RichL, that's a very clear response. Did you ever listen to Kodomo, Concept 1?

    Communal Treatment List

Separate from staff, I want to point out this is all cursory data. There are no answers here. This will be updated by me and anyone helping (it's free to anyone globally, forever) probably once a month for the next year, but it is a set of ideas we need to poke holes in. If you have tried...

Auris Medical to Host Key Opinion Leader Meeting on Tinnitus Treatments on March 13

Fantastic link @grandfunk1 . Michael D. Siedman, who is speaking a third into the youtube link is really inspiring. He starts here. He covers some interesting points 10 mins later. He's looking to reduce harm - he's done brain implants that haven't worked, but some that have. He's involved...

Waking Up With Absolutely Stupid Tinnitus

Yep, definitely a big part is sensation rather than sound. Doesn't go off like yours though I think. I'm at a 3-4 most days at work now, probably mostly from habituation. When I get up it's an easy 6. I look really miserable first thing in the mornings now, rather than just normal morning...

Waking Up With Absolutely Stupid Tinnitus

Worst when I get up out of bed, not straight away after becoming conscious - just have to power through the morning routine. Fades to normal over about an hour.

First Human Head Transplant by 2017

Imagined a horrendous image of the neck scar after having a head transplant, bleugh! Nerves and blood vessels don't just connect up magically (as we know!), I can't imagine how that problem will be solved without science fiction nanobots fixing everything up - by which point transplants...

    Communal Treatment List

That's a very good point guys, I'll see if I can find a way to show how strong the evidence for something or whether it's weaker or anecdotally associated with tinnitus. (y)

    Communal Treatment List

Hello all, I have a big notebook full of tinnitus treatments (surgical, medicines, supplements) that I've picked up on my travels around the web that are slowly being formalised and would like to invite people to add to. It's public and published in an open 'mind map' format that anyone...

Huperzine A and Rose OX — Are These Bad for Tinnitus?

That very broad statement is untrue, bordering on dangerous. Just because it's 'herbal' doesn't mean it's automatically safe, and just because it's man-made doesn't mean it's automatically unsafe.
