Tinnitus Spike Since Coming Back to These Forums

Hey Guys, I came back to these forums to try and help others out, however ever since doing that it has caused my tinnitus to spike and this is undoing all the hard work I put in habituating the first time, unfortunately, I'm going to have to stay away from boards like this as it does me no good...

Removing the Human Cochlea — Would It Silence the Tinnitus?

I'm pretty sure that whatever part of the brain that causes T, probably has another function other than just causing tinnitus. If it could be isolated and destroyed this way, then there is no way it wouldn't effect something else.

Small Garage Band Outdoor Concert at Pub — How Big Is the Risk of Tinnitus Worsening?

Wouldn't recommend it, there is still hope for you that it will go away, however, this could make it permanent.

    Anyone Try Amantadine for Tinnitus?

I've never heard of amantadine however after googling "amantadine" and "ototoxicity" there are many results. Ototoxicity is essentially drug induced hearing loss, which means that i'll probably stay away from trying it, but if anyone here is brave enough to give it a go, then i'd be interested...

Things Sound Sharp, Can Anyone Relate?

Early Signs of Tinnitus After Benzo Use — Tips? Headset Use?

Headphones cause my tinnitus to spike instantly, therefore I don't wear them anymore. Lots of people on here refuse to wear them, however some do with no issues. I think the problem is how close the sound is to your ear compared to listening to music through speakers. As your T is caused by...

What Causes Tinnitus — Conference Attendees' Responses

I have tinnitus with no hearing loss, it started after a birthday party at a night club when I was 15 and never went away till this day (i'm 22 now) and still have no hearing loss. I did have tinnitus before, a few times, but it always went away.

Early Signs of Tinnitus After Benzo Use — Tips? Headset Use?

I would drop the headphone use at least until your T has gone, you don't want to aggravate it, at least not in the early stages.

So, Is Everyone from My Generation Going to Get Tinnitus Eventually?

Most likely, if I managed to get it at 15 then I dread to think what my generation will be like by the time their 40. Although chances are, when everybody is suffering for it, the pharma companies will see dollar signs and sort it out.
