PPI's (Proton-Pump Inhibitors) for Reflux — Experiences? Any Negative Impact on Tinnitus?

Yeah, Nexium is the only one that I can take. Pantoprazole was an absolute mare for me. Nexium is my «bad friend», sometimes I’m OK on it, and sometimes it gives me ear pain and a spike. But when the Reflux/GERD is bad, I have no choice.

    Allegra-D 12-Hour Ototoxic or Not?

For me most, bar Kestine/Ebastine, spiked my tinnitus and gave me lot of side effects. I’m guessing it’s down to the fact Kestine is without the anticholinergic effects.

    Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)

Yeah. Took me several weeks, and I had constant headache and dizzy spells. Missed a lot of work. My GP told me to stay away from it. This is not something for me. But I am happy it works for others :)

@Diego LR, the spike eventually subsided, but my balance is worse than before, and I’m now struck with lots of headaches

    Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)

Thanks for taking your time to reply, @DebInAustralia :) I really appreciate it! I took 0.75 mg (1/4 of a 3 mg tablet) for three days last week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Immediately after taking the first dose I got like "a rush of blood to the head". Really weird feeling. I talked...

    Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)

Hi @DebInAustralia. Thanks for replying. Prior to starting LDN, my tinnitus was a very subtle high tone (hissing). Quite manageable compared to my current state. LDN was the only thing I introduced, so I am 100% sure LDN is the cause of spiking my high tone (hissing) and introducing a new...

    Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)

My tinnitus went through the roof 15-20 minutes after taking 0.75 mg of LDN. It also caused severe headache, dizziness and ear fullness. I tried it for 3 days and threw in the towel. I still have super loud tinnitus (now both hissing high tone and low bass tone) in addition to the dizziness...

    Allegra-D 12-Hour Ototoxic or Not?

I can chip in on this. I recommend using Kestine (ebastine) instead. It will not affect tinnitus.

Chloramphenicol EYE Drops for EAR Infection: Safe to Use? Any Risk for Hearing/Tinnitus?

Hi guys, so it appears I have an ear infection in my middle ear, and my doctor has prescribed Chloramphenicol eye drops for this. I am allergic to: fluoroquinolones (Ciprofloxacin) and tetracyclines (Terra-Cortril). My last option was Sofradex and I really want that as absolute last resort...

    Erythromycin & Tinnitus

Until my results came. They were negative. Still got lowish fever in the evening, body aches, slight cough with phlegm. I guess my CRP is still higher than it should... The prescribed dose is 250 mg 4 times a day (morning, mid day, supper and evening). I have no other alternatives seeing the...
