Just had a read, I'm so sorry you are going through this @Niamh, it must be so scary for you. It's so hard not to stress, I understand.

However it's still very early days for you, there is a huge possibility things will improve for you.

Oh @Niamh :( I really do get it, I was too. I do think your T will calm down.

Worst case scenario is that it stays but you will get used to it (I know that's not what you want to hear) I remember when people told me that I thought they were lying to make me feel better, but it's true.

I'm not scared anymore, just mildly pissed off. The terror is gone, your brain adapts.

Also, I know it feels impossible but do try and keep yourself as calm as possible. Stress makes it so much worse.

@Holly1987 I don't want it at 14. im too young. I want silence. the ear infection has gone but the ringing is still here. ive had the ringing for a week now

Give it time, it's still very very early days. There is a very good chance it will go away.

@Holly1987 the problem is that I'm getting depressed because of it
N
ive stopped eating and completely gone off my food
Holly1987
Yes I get that, I was also very depressed and couldn't eat. It's really so awful isn't it? Gosh I'm just remembering those early days and they were horrific.

I do remember I went on lots of walks to distract myself. Do you have any hobbies you enjoy?
Holly1987
Btw @Niamh please know I'm not trying to minimise this, I'm acutely aware that when you are in panic mode you really don't care about doing some f*cking fun hobby! But it does help x
