The accommodation we booked was on wotif, it was one of those random last minute deals and you don't get any details. Turns out it's a reallyyy nice 5 star place, super posh. We drove directly from a beach holiday and look like such bogans compared to everyone else in the lobby, it was awkward.
One time I was trying to find a good place to pick mushrooms. I kept driving and not finding any promising forests. Eventually I realized that I was close to Ottawa, Canada's capital that I haven't been to before that day. It felt awkward walking on Parliament Hill and visiting places like the museum at the Bank of Canada wearing the clothes that I intended to wear during a remote forest hike.
> We are from a small town and not used to peak hour city driving
You have got to rent a car in Italy and attempt driving in Naples! The traffic is heavy, and many drivers and especially pedestrians seem to ignore traffic regulations. Nobody slows down to let you change into their lane.
