Have you been exposed to moderate noise during those two years (e.g., concerts with earplugs, live music)?
Melike
@Bill Bauer yes but only a few times and in all of them the sound was even lower than the istanbul traffic. And it hasnt gotten worse right after them.

It increased very recently and I havent been exposed to any loud noise lately. Except for the MRI, but it only spiked my somatic morse codes.
Bill Bauer
If the increase was recent, there is still a chance that it is just a temporary spike. Temporary spikes can last for over three months (like one of my temporary spikes).

I really hope so @Bill Bauer. How did you manage your sleep when your T was spiking? I only managed to get 1, maybe 1.5 hours of sleep today.
Bill Bauer
I would listen to the sound of crickets. At first you continue to focus on your T, but eventually you can begin focusing on the crickets...

I also took 10 mg amitriptyline pills. They don't cause drowsiness the next day and they are nonaddictive.

I am at a point where no noise can even partially mask my T tones. I also took amitriptyline when it started 2 years ago and it worked wonders but now I am afraid of any potential damage to Idk anything above my shoulders including my brain.
Melike
Because I possibly can't endure any more worsening
Bill Bauer
The idea is not to mask, but to give yourself something else to listen to, besides your T...

Speak for yourself. that's not the case for everybody.

Well, what I was trying to say is that people shouldn't give up if after five minutes all they can think about is their T. They need to give it at least half an hour before quitting.
TheDanishGirl
I have given it an hour+ and no matter how long time, The sound enrichment merely remains background noise, if the T can still be heard above it.....for me that is.

@Melike I'm exactly the same, mine is way worse. The thing that terrifies me the most is that it will only get worse and worse...

For the record ; it subsided. And even went to 0.1 out of 10. It has been like that for the last 72 hours more or less. It even went to zero for a couple of hours. What I do ; I take melatonin, magnesium, I do muscular exercises for my TMJD and started a strict anti-inflammatory diet (similar to Liam's but %70)
