I've always been careful, but this T experience has taught me just How fragile our bodies can be. I've been having problems with one of my shoulders for over five years now. This week I suddenly realized that my problems were triggered by the surf in Hawaii throwing me hard against the sand.
Afterwards I had to use one arm to drive. I thought nothing of it. Turns out that this had weakened my shoulder and eventually led to epic problems. One wrong move, and one's body becomes uninhabitable...
Oh yeah. It's one reason I stopped martial arts. I was getting beat up for nothing, because I have no desire to be a pro Thai boxer. I was routinely getting injuries from punches/kicks and I thought that too many of those would lead to crippling pain in old age. I am sure my right toe, which I strained horribly in a scramble, will give me grief at one point. It clicks sometimes now, it didn't use to before.
