Went back and tried the speakers I used for months right after I stopped using headphones. After 5 min I got ear pressure at low volume. Different speakers really make a difference when it comes to this. I have researched this a loooot for a couple of months and some monitors brand such as Quested could be completely different for your ears.
Amphion One15 worked pretty good for me but I decided to return them in the end since many people get ear problems from them... And if THEY worked, brands such as ATC and Quested should work MUCH better. I just have to try them
It has to do with the tweeter material among other things. Please let me know what monitors you're using. If the tweeter is made of metal than this could be why they don't work for you
Not familiar with that tweeter design. You could try to position the monitors so that they face away from your ears. Either very far away, or have them pointing far behind your head so the tweeters are not pointing straight at your ears
@HeavyMantra I have problems even with computer fan noise... I think I am starting to sell my gear and software. I can maybe work 30-60 mins a day. And after that my ears become sensitive again.
I see, tough spot.. I still think you should wait a while and try some better monitors down the line before giving up. Get some with a good return policy so you can just try them. But I know how hard it is, I also often think about just giving up on music.
