It sounds like it is a spike that you got as a result of taking Ibuprophen. Most spikes are temporary spikes. Temporary spikes can last over 3 months. If it doesn't begin fading within the next 4-6 weeks, Then it might make sense to begin worrying about this being permanent. I realize that this is easier said than done...

I do appreciate those times I get improvement, a lot, but I still can't help but dread each coming day, what if it's always like this? I'll never be able to be myself again
