It is normal for T to spread to both ears. Mine spread to the formerly good ear after about 9 months.

@Bill Bauer I'm just curious if the new tone will go away, since it seem to be quite mild? Still very annoying of course, like a electric noise. I've got it from a loud scream.
Most spikes that involve the existing tone getting louder are temporary. I can't recall reading about what happens when a new shock creates a new tone. Well, one case does come to mind, and in that case the tone ended up being permanent - but that's only one case...
