I'm so sorry. I guess, that's a rhetorical question, but I think people do this kind of stuff because they actually don't understand and can't imagine that sounds actually do hurt us and it's not just anxiety talking.

I guess that to be able to get it, you have to be one of us. I feel like a burden to my family, but I also have to tell myself everyday that I didn't ask for this. This is a valid disease, and asking not to scream just for the hell of it is more than reasonable. I'm sorry you guys are struggling with your families too. Hang in there

People are so frustating. My family always has the TV on high, running fans, slamming doors. It's exhausting. And they wonder why I spend all day in my room.
