I'm sure there could be correlations, but I don't think the above scenario would qualify. Generally, fixing TMJ rids T for many (if TMJ is the only cause). In that case, there wasn't actual hearing damage so you shouldn't be more susceptible. Once the jaw tension settles and relieves pressure on the ear, TMJ-related T is usually alleviated. Just my two cents.

@Emgee yeah, I'm mostly just wondering if for some of us, it could be a case of 1+1+1 = tinnitus. Rather than one singular event or thing causing it, the combination of them may have resulted in enough stress/pressure/damage etc.
