  • Good week was good, but all things come to an end, for now at least.

Don't worry about setbacks. The important thing is that you are still Capable of not hearing loud T. What matters is the monthly trend. Give it another year, and you ought to have your life back.

Glad to see you've been having better days! A lot of people have reported that they first started to see improvements within 7-10 months after onset, so hopefully you're on the right track with ups and downs along the way.
Good news! How long have you have T? Do you have H also? It seems like many people start to see some positive changes around 7-10 months.

Thanks for the support :) I've had T for 7 months now, in the first months especially I had sensitivity/reactions to to some sounds but I wouldn't call it H.
I've had good days before, but this has been my first good week!

Awesome! You should be able to get your life back. Now you need to focus on making sure that you don't hurt your ears again.
T hasn't improved or changed all that much recently, but my emotional response has gotten better (for the most part).

Good luck! I'm happy you're starting to feel better, even if only a little.
Stabbing ear pain when my mouth is open wide; time to add TMJ to the list of things to look into.

    Hi,
Did you look into TMJ issues? I did not have jaw pressure, inflammation until my ear issues. Did you pursue treatment?
Acoustic trauma tones are fluctuating toward improvement, but the tone from a big ear pop is stubborn. Should I bother hoping it'll go?

Glad to hear that you're improving! I know it's hard, but try to ignore that tone the best you can. If it goes away, great!
T is made worse either by sleeping or lying down; going to sleep is doable but after waking up it's clanging like a fire alarm. Whyyyyy
T is worse than it's ever been, and is entirely different to onset. Different tone, and way louder, especially after sleeping. Very worried.

I think it changes for many within the first few months. Mine still fluctuates with the hour almost. Always better after sleep for me.

The waiting is the worst part, isn't it?
I keep picking up new tones, from ear popping?? All progress has gone out the window.

You're still early days, Nikki. T is especially bad and unstable early on. Don't give up.
